For the children lucky enough to come to the UK it is a trip of a lifetime. It is estimated that a month staying with a family here, eating nourishing food, resting from the relentless radiation, breathing clean air can add up to 2-years to their life expectancy.

Welcoming a child into your home, caring and nurturing them as if they were your own. Providing them with nourishing food. You would be giving them a holiday of a lifetime, as well as benefiting their health.
Life here in the UK is nothing like their life back home in Belarus. There is no need to over-indulge or spoil them. 
Allowing them to enjoy the comforts of your home and joining in with the rest of the group for organised visits out makes for a very special time for these children.
The CHERNOBYL CHILDREN LIFE LINE charity was formed to help the children of Belarus. There are now around 130 Links throughout the country who raise funds to bring groups of children to the UK for respite care.
The PINXTON & EAST DERBYSHIRE LINK was itself formed in 1996. Following the success of our first group of children in Summer 1996, children have been visiting the area for a convalescing break each summer ever since.
