There are MANY tangible ways that you can help the children of Chernobyl through the CHERNOBYL CHILDREN LIFELINE and the PINXTON AND EAST DERBYSHIRE LINK.

Host a child during their holiday of a lifetime -

Welcoming a child into your home, caring and nurturing them as if they were your own. Life here in the UK is nothing like their life back home in Belarus. There is no need to over-indulge or spoil them. Allowing them to enjoy the comforts of your home and joining in for organised visits out makes for a very special time.

Support a Host family -

Even if feel you cannot host for the entire month stay, we have a valuable network of support families who are standing by to offer help and perhaps look after the children themselves for a day or two.

Sponsor a family -

The families that the FAMILY SUPPORT PROJECT helps earn as little as £10 a month. The very poorest of Belarussian families can be 'adopted' by sending a donation (through the project's quarterly distributions) of only £15 a month. Letters and contact between you and the family are actively encouraged.

Make a donation to Charity funds -

All links raise funds to bring groups of children to the UK for respite care. It costs over £285 inc taxes to pay for each child's airfare. The links are all run by volunteers.

Sponsor an activity -

Help us to organise an activity for a group of children. Some people like to arrange a barbeque or a children's disco, some let us use their attractions for free, and others help us pay to visit an attraction that we feel they children would really benefit from (such as a visit to the seaside!)
